"I started walking again!"

" I began my neuropathy therapy about 6 weeks ago and the neuropathy in my feet is pretty much gone. I so much dreaded night time and going to bed because that's when the pain began but not any longer. It's Amazing!!! If you suffer from neuropathy and nothing else has helped you, this is the answer to begin the healing. " - Kathy, Wichita Falls, TX

Dr. David Cartwright, DC.

Hi, I'm Dr. David!

My journey into chiropractic care began with my own battle with chronic back pain, which started when I was 16 and lasted for over a decade. After seeing countless medical professionals without finding relief, I finally experienced life-changing results through chiropractic treatment. That experience was so profound that it inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic, with the goal of helping others who had lost hope, just like I once had.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive several honors, including being voted Best Chiropractor in Wichita Falls in 2016 and being named one of the city’s Top 20 Under 40 business leaders in 2014. But my real passion lies in helping people find lasting relief from their health concerns—naturally, without relying on medications.

I want to help you break free from chronic pain and live the life you deserve.

You're Not Alone

I understand how difficult and frustrating it can be to live with peripheral neuropathy.

The numbness in your feet can make simple activities like walking or driving feel almost impossible—you can’t feel the gas pedals, and every step feels uncertain.

Losing your balance, especially in public, can be embarrassing and make you worry about losing your independence.

I know how isolating this can be, and how it might feel like you’re losing control over your own life. But I want you to know, it doesn’t have to be this way.

As someone who is Board Certified by the American College of Physiology in Neuropathy, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of people who were in the same situation as you.

Together, we’ve worked to restore the feeling in their feet, stop the constant tingling and burning, and help them regain their balance.

I’m here to offer you that same hope and relief. You don’t have to live with the fear and discomfort that neuropathy brings—there is a way to regain control, and I’m committed to helping you find it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of our most commonly asked questions

What is Peripheral Neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that occurs when the peripheral nerves - the nerves that carry information between the brain/spinal cord and the rest of the body - become damaged or dysfunctional. These nerves control muscle movement, as well as sensations like touch, temperature, and pain.

What Causes Peripheral Neuropathy?

Here are some of the main causes of peripheral neuropathy:Diabetes: One of the most common causes is uncontrolled diabetes, which can lead to high blood sugar levels that damage nerves over time.

Trauma/Injury: Physical trauma or injuries that cause nerve compression, crushing or severing can lead to neuropathy. This includes repetitive motion injuries.

Autoimmune Diseases: Certain autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Guillain-Barré syndrome cause the body's immune system to attack and damage peripheral nerves.

Infections: Viral or bacterial infections like Lyme disease, shingles, HIV, and hepatitis C can trigger neuropathy.

Inherited Disorders: Some inherited conditions like Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease cause genetic defects that lead to nerve damage.

Toxin Exposure: Excessive alcohol consumption and exposure to industrial chemicals, toxins, and some medications can be toxic to nerve fibers.

Vitamin Deficiencies: Lack of certain vitamins like B1, B6, B12, E and niacin can disrupt nerve function and cause neuropathy over time.

So in summary, the causes range from metabolic problems and autoimmune conditions to physical injuries, vitamin deficits and toxic exposures that impair nerve signaling.

Can Peripheral Neuropathy Be Reversed?

Yes, peripheral neuropathy can be reversed or significantly improved through holistic approaches, helping to stop further damage and restore nerve function.Treatments like shockwave therapy, combined with proper nutrition, physical therapy, and other natural methods, can stimulate nerve regeneration, reduce inflammation, and enhance blood flow to the affected areas.By addressing the underlying causes and supporting your body’s natural healing processes, holistic treatments can not only relieve the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy but also help prevent further nerve damage, leading to better long-term outcomes and improved quality of life.

Can Nerves Regrow?

Yes, nerves can regrow, although the process is slow and can vary depending on the type of nerve and the extent of the damage. Peripheral nerves, which are the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord, have the ability to regenerate to some extent. This regrowth can be supported by holistic treatments such as shockwave therapy, proper nutrition, physical therapy, and other natural approaches that promote healing and improve blood flow to the affected areas. While complete recovery may not always be possible, especially in severe cases, these treatments can help stimulate nerve regeneration, reduce symptoms, and improve overall nerve function.

What Can I expect From Neuropathy Treatment?

When you undergo neuropathy treatment using holistic approaches, you can expect a natural, non-invasive path to relief and recovery. Our in house therapies work by stimulating blood flow and promoting nerve regeneration, which helps reduce pain, tingling, and numbness associated with neuropathy.Over time, you'll notice a significant reduction in symptoms, improved nerve function, and enhanced overall well-being.

Many patients experience positive results after just a few sessions, with ongoing improvements as treatment continues. This holistic approach not only addresses the symptoms but also supports your body’s natural healing processes, offering a safe and effective alternative to medications or surgery.
